Cette visite coïncide avec le début du match « Égypte-Russie » lors du championnat de la Coupe du monde qu’il ne veut absolument pas manquer. Bassem regarde le match dans un café où la nuit la plus folle commence.
ANG: In a hot summer back in 2018, Bassem, a football maniac and a well off prestigious university student, has to finish a business in one of Cairo’s old slums that coincides with the beginning of Egypt vs Russia match in the World Cup Championship that he absolutely can’t miss. Mais très vite entre des coutumes religieuses qu’il ne comprend pas et le va-et-vient incessant de personnes qui lui sont inconnus ; le jeune homme se sent mal à l’aise dans le petit appartement familial. Lorsque Imad arrive en frère prodigue, c’en est trop pour Salim.
ANG: Salim comes to collect at his mother’s body. But very quickly between religious customs that he does not understand and the constant comings and goings of strangers, the young man feels uncomfortable in the small family apartment. When Imad arrives as a prodigal brother, it is too much for Salim.
